We’re excited to announce the release of Goddess - an Australian musical starring Laura Michelle Kelly & Ronan Keating - on March 7, 2013!

Elspeth Dickens (Kelly) is mum of twin toddlers living in rural Australia, who dreams of finding her ‘voice’. As she begins to feel stuck in the isolated farmhouse she shares with her husband (Keating), a web-cam becomes her pathway to fame and fortune… but at a price.

Roadshow Films announced today that it will release the Australian musical Goddess in cinemas on 7 March 2013.

Starring Laura Michelle Kelly and Ronan Keating, much-loved comedian Magda Szubanski, Hugo Johnstone-Burt and Lucy Durack, Goddess was shot over nine weeks in Tasmania and the outskirts and CBD of Sydney.

An extraordinary songstress, the Olivier Award winning Kelly has received critical acclaim from Broadway to the West End for her performance as Mary Poppins – a role she took leave from to shoot Goddess.

A major international recording artist and X-Factor judge, Keating has sold more than 22million albums and is the only person ever to have 30 consecutive top 10 singles in the UK charts. Goddess marks his first feature film role.

Director Mark Lamprell and producer Richard Keddie recently returned from France where Goddess screened at the Cannes International Film Festival market.

In Goddess, when young mother of naughty twin boys Elspeth Dickens (Laura Michelle Kelly) installs a webcam in her kitchen, her funny sink-songs make her a cyber-sensation. While her husband James (Ronan Keating) is off saving the world’s whales, Elspeth is offered the chance of a lifetime. But when forced to choose between fame and family, the newly anointed internet goddess almost loses it all.

Goddess will be directed by Mark Lamprell (co-writer Babe – Pig in the City and director My Mother Frank and After the Rain), musical director is Judy Morris (co-director Happy Feet, writer Eye of the Storm), screenplay by Mark Lamprell and Joanna Weinberg, director of photography Damian Wyvill.

The film will be produced by Richard Keddie (Hawke and Little Fish) and Andrena Finlay (Razzle Dazzle and Me, Myself, I)

Goddess is yet to be rated and will be released in Australian cinemas on March 7, 2013 from Roadshow Films.

With Cannes Film Festival just over and everyone still talking about it we were excited that Laura Michelle Kelly swept down the red carpet wearing a beautiful Zoe Boomer gown to promote her debut lead role movie, Goddess, alongside co-star Ronan Keating at Cannes Film Festival.


Singer, actress and red carpet stunner Laura Michelle turned heads as she donned Zoe Boomer, a rising London based Northern Irish fashion designer, multiple times over the course of the film festival.

Looking very much the leading lady, she wowed in a closet full of key trend Zoe Boomer looks: a feminine floral-print dress with tasteful draping (Leani Dress), a floor-length evening gown with a plunge neck and elegant trail, and a playful silk t-shirt dress in deep ombre.

Laura Michelle and Zoe have been good friends for many years now and the musical star was not hesitant in desiring a number of garments from the Zoe Boomer collection to grace this year’s Cannes Film Festival in.

In the romantic comedy Goddess, Laura Michelle Kelly stars as a young mother away from her husband, Ronan Keating, who becomes an unexpected internet sensation and is left facing the risky choice between fame and family.
