Ever since the days he used to go to his shop in Dublin where the Boyzone star was a teenage assistant; sole-mates you could call them but today the boot was on the other foot as Terry enlisted Ronan’s help to give his new Belfast exhibition of paintings the hard sell.

Ronan travelled up from Dublin this afternoon to attend tonight’s opening of the exhibition in McCausland’s hotel. Terry a well known male model who swapped the catwalks for the canvas a few years ago has already become a major collector’s item.

Ronan: It’s fantastic you just have to look at it ya know, the colours are so vibrant and they stand out ya know, and it’s just so different from what everybody else is doing ya know. It’s young, it’s fresh it’s great I love his stuff I’m a big fan.

Interviewer: Are you a big fan of art in general?

Ronan: Erm I haven’t bought a whole load in the past but when I like something I go ahead and I buy it ya know for the house, or I like to buy gifts of paintings for people also it’s always a nice present for somebody a painting ya know; something different.

Interviewer: Have you had a quick chance to look around, any of these catch your eye?

Ronan: Yeah there’s a few alright I’ve boxed that one off already over there, the guy with the hat it’s called the VIP room; and there’s another one down the back it’s called Models which I think I’ll be having a look at, my wife was a model and it kind of has a funny twist to it.

Interviewer: Will there be a discount do you think?

Ronan: (Smiles) Oh I hope so ya never know, (laughs) he might look after me; throw him a couple of albums
