I had just finished a run on the beach in the USA when an email had came through letting me know that, on my return from my lovely break, I would be doing an interview with Ronan Keating promoting his new album, 'When Ronan Met Burt'.

I was thrilled to discover it was in fact "The Burt", Burt Bacharach. Ronan had joined forces with him to create this fabulous seventh solo album. Working with his icon and a true legend was a dream come true for Ronan.

Ronan is a very successful solo artist who had, and still has, great success with Boyzone and, of course, manages Westlife.
Being a big Burt fan and having been introduced to his music daily by my husband, I knew I was in for a treat. Ronan and Burt, what a great music combination. We saw Burt Bacharach at the Albert Hall and, oh my, a true genius. I will never forget he had two pianos on either side of him with one huge stool in-between that he sat on and literally during a song he went from one piano to another with perfection.

Ronan’s album 'When Ronan Met Burt' was recorded in the capitol studios in Hollywood, where the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and many other incredible artists have recorded. The building was designed by music artists and the walls, I believe, are 10 inches thick and made of fibre glass and beech wood.

Studio A and Studio B can be used as one studio to house 75 musicians, just like on Ronan’s album, which is backed with a full live orchestra.

The album features many of our favourites such as 'Walk On By', which was originally written for Dionne Warwick, and 'The Look of Love' which was actually only instrumental until Hal David added the lyrics and it was inspired by Ursula Andress in the 1967 spoof Bond film 'Casino Royale'. Say no more.

'Arthur's Theme' we all loved and how can we forget the performance of Christiopher Cross being the original artist, and loving Dudley Moore and Liza Minelli? My personal favourite on the album is 'Make It Easy on Yourself'!

Other tracks include 'Little Red Book', 'Something Big' and 'I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself'. It's a great album that you will never tire of.

Ronan was so charming and any host's delight - a dream to work with. No fuss, chilled, professional and very unassuming. I love that in an artist, really refreshing.

Ronan, we wish you all the best in your Irish sea swim challenge! Shame a motorbike can’t swim huh!
